The Euro lost some ground on yesterday versus the dollar but soon recovered as the 1.3760 support held, like it used to do during the last 5 days. Support is currently seen at 1.3785 backed by 1.3760 and 1.3730. Resistance starts at 1.3800 and it is followed by 1.3815 and 1.3830.

Friday Notes - "Suberprimemania" refuses to go away by HVB Group
We expect retail sales to have expanded at a healthy 0.4% m-o-m in June, the same pace as in May. This would leave the 3M rate of change at around 1.2%. This is consistent, according to our model, with a nice acceleration in private spending in Q2 2007.

German PPI posts a moderate increase in June (FXstreet.com)
Producer prices have risen mildly in Germany during the month of June, in line with the market expectations on the month, and less than expected on the year, according to the German statistics office, Destatis. Prices at factory level have risen 0.2% from May to June, and 1.7% since June 2006.
