EUR/USD

Daily Recommended Trades - EUR/USD daily outlook by E-Forex

The Euro declined on yesterday and it is currently consolidating near the multi-week lows in the 1.3540 area. Support is formed at 1.3535 backed by 1.3515, 1.3500 and 1.3480. Resistance emerges at 1.3550 followed by 1.3580, 1.3600 and 1.3620. The daily sentiment is bearish, hourly is neutral and everybody is waiting for the rate decisions this week.

US Government is still worried about inflation, but it's not probable that a rate hike is given on the 9th May's Meeting. The last hike was seen on June '06 when they hiked to the actual 5.25%. Economic growth has slowed down noticeably in the past months but it is not strong enough yet to put pressure on the Fed to cut rates.

DATA SNAP: German March Trade Surplus Widens To EUR18.4B (Dow Jones)

Germany's trade surplus widened more than expected in March to EUR18.4 billion from EUR14.2 billion in February, data released by the Federal Statistics Office showed Wednesday. The trade surplus of EUR18.4 billion was higher than the EUR15.0 billion surplus forecast by economist in a Dow Jones Newswires survey.

Japan March leading index 40.0 vs 27.3 in Feb; coincident index 22.2 vs 30.0 (AFX News)

The index of leading economic indicators rose to 40.0 in March from 27.3 in February, in line with market expectations, according to preliminary data from the Cabinet Office. Economists on average had forecast the leading index in March to come in at 40.0.
