Friday Notes - US employment heyday to fizzle in Spring by HVB Group
We expect EMU CPI to be revised upward from the flash estimate of 1.9% to 2.0%. The core rate is expected to stay at 1.9%, with chances of a slightly lower figure. Overall, we expect inflation to show a temporary moderation in Q2 and Q3 2007, to be followed by a renewed rise toward 2% in Q4.

German CPI rises more than expected (FXstreet.com)
Consumer prices have increased in Germany more than initially expected, with a 0.3% rise on the month, and a 1.9% yearly change, according to data by the German Statistics Office. On the year, the increase has been larger than February’s 1.6%, on the month, however, Germans have seen prices growing slower than the 0.4% in February, although slightly faster than the 0.2% forecasted by the analysts, on the year, the analysts had advanced a 1.8% increase.

Japan revised Feb industrial output up 0.7 pct from Jan (AFX News)
Industrial output in February rose a seasonally adjusted 0.7 pct from January, slightly smaller than the previous estimate of a 0.8 pct increase, according to revised data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The ministry said it reviewed past data retroactively to adjust for seasonal factors. Before its annual review was done, industrial output in February showed a month-on-month drop of 0.2 pct.
