EUR/USD's consolidation from 1.3258 continues today. But still, the rise from 1.3078 should be in force as long as downside is contained by 1.3149 support. Break of 1.3258 will indicate rise has resumed for 1.3296 resistance first.

Friday Notes - USD losing its appeal? by HVB Group

After soft data in France and Italy, we now see chances that Jan inflation will be revised down to 1.8%, but this is a very close call depending on rounding. Core inflation will rise less than previously expected (to 1.7% from 1.5%), due to the mild VAT impact. Our Feb CPI estimate continues to be at 1.9%, with downside risks. Overall, inflation will stay below 2% for most of 2007.
