European and US summary - Market sentiment for global interest rate differentials continues to be a primary focus in foreign exchange by Forexnews.com

EURUSD also benefited from demand in the cross, crossing back above the 1.32-level to hit a session high near 1.3240. Resistance is seen at 1.3270, followed by 1.33 and 1.3330. Key resistance is eyed at 1.3367, backed by 1.34 and 1.3450. Meanwhile, support will start at 1.32, followed by 1.3170 and 1.3130.

Truck and fuel prices push Nov PPI at 32 year high by FXstreet.com

Wholesale prices in the U.S. have jumped to their 32 year record in November on the sharp increase of truck and gasoline prices which arises concerns on inflation despite the good results on recent consumer prices report. PPI increased 2% in November, the sharpest rise since November 1974, following a 1.6% drop in the previous month, according to data released by the labour department.

Germany: Ifo indicates further rate hikes in 2007 by Danske Bank A/S

The Ifo index once again surprised markets with a strong reading – as we had expected – climbing to 108.7 from 106.8 (consensus expected 106.8). The ifo index is close to an all-time high, and although the correlation with German GDP growth is weaker than it used to be, the strong index reflects that German companies are in fantastic shape due to both long-term structural reasons and temporary support from financial conditions and robust exports.
