The FED keeps rates unchanged feeding risk appetite

FXstreet.com − The fact that FED expressed growing confident in the economic recovery, send stocks higher feeding risk appetite: gold reach a fresh historical high at 1097, EUR/USD hit 1.4900, while GBP/USD reached the 1.6600 level as expected.
Japanese yen, the other safe haven, remains however in range between 90.70/91.00 area, despite reaching an intraday high of 91.30.

EUR/USD fails to break above 1.4900, pulls back to 1.4865 by FXstreet.com

The Euro failed to break above 1.4900 against the Dollar. EUR/USD jumped to 1.4909, posting a fresh one−week high after the statement of the FOMC. Later the pair pulled back and currently trades at 1.4868/71, 1.02% above today's opening price

GBP/USD: Pound pulls down, unable to break 1.6600 by FXstreet.com

Pound the Pound has extended its two−day rally after the Fed's monetary Policy statement, and the pair jumped about 60 pips to attack 1.6600 resistance level, although, unable to break it and at overbought levels, the Sterling pulled back to levels around 1.6565.
