The Advisor Weblog: AUD and CAD leading the way by Valeria Bednarik
Monday holiday, majors remain in range while U.S. futures are strongly up, supporting dollar and yen falls. However, commodity currencies are leading the way, as the AUD/USD has reach a fresh yearly high at 0.8575 and continues tending higher despite over bought in smaller time frames, as gold quotes at $ 995.00/oz, close to the historical high of $ 1030.

Pair remains consolidating between 1.4280/1.4340
FXstreet.com Independent Analyst Team − Pair remains consolidating between 1.4280/1.4340 as posted on previous update, yet hourly charts have turned to the downside, and 4 hours have changed to flat, mostly to the lack of volume ahead of U.S. holiday. Pair rebounded in the 20 SMA still with a bullish slope, so that's the point to break to consider any downside movements for next hours.
GbpUsd steady climb continue by ACM − Advanced Currency Markets
GbpUsd steady climb continues (despite Gbp weakness in the G10) however sterling momentum seems to be neutral as MACD is virtually flat at current level signaling a general lack of direction.

The dollar versus the yen reached the neckline at 93.25 again, reversing to the downside, where we think is an attempted to build a base on 92.60 support level.

Friday Notes - UK, BoE: Repo rate on hold by UniCredit Group
The BoE should keep the repo rate unchanged this month, and introduce no changes to the outstanding APF. The August Inflation Report clearly indicated that market expectations (for a first rate hike in Q1 2010) were too aggressive, given that nominal demand remains very much subdued despite the ongoing QE program.
