EMU economic indicators - German ifo business climate (August): up by BHF−Bank
The ifo business climate for Germany is likely to have continued improving in August, but probably not as much as in July. The German ZEW economic sentiment and the US ISM manufacturing index have both improved. German yield spreads have widened somewhat, because short−term rates have decreased while long−term interest rates have been fluctuating. The DAX has rallied temporarily too. However, the euro has appreciated and crude oil prices have gone up.
