USD sharply higher supported by global recovery doubt

Easy Forex − USD traded sharply higher to start the week supported by fresh safe haven demand as global equity markets tumble on concern about the outlook for the global recovery. Late Friday, US regulators closed five US lenders. This brings the total of US bank failures to 77 for the year. The latest news of US bank closings generated concern about the outlook for financial markets. Asian equity markets traded sharply lower with the Shanghai index closing over 5% down.

Pair breached under the long term ascendant trend line and accelerated the fall by Valeria Bednarik

Daily charts remain bearish at this point with an immediate support at 1.6250 ahead of 1.6200; still inside long term range from early June, if 1.6200 finally gives up.
