U.S. Update: Focusing on sentimet and commodities
FXstreet.com Independent Analyst Team − Stocks retrieve most of early gains together with gold and oil that gave up some ground too, changing the intraday bias, and sending dollar up across the board. Part due to profit taking, part due to risk aversion and retrieving prices in commodities, dollar is still far from intra week highs against major rivals, yet regaining the upside even against Japanese yen that tend to be the less dollar sensitive currency these days.

After completing a 500 pips bullish move, it seems that the cable has reached a very strong resistant level placed around 1.6350. However, the MACD on the 4−hour chart continues to deliver bullish signals.

Pair has come back from 1.4145 highs, forming a double roof there in the hourly, with the neck around 1.4050 that has just failed to break. Indicators are close to give bearish signals in the hourly chart, with price holding just under the 20 SMA.

There are also several central bankers from the ECB and the Fed scheduled to speak today. Especially the Fed speeches and the Fed's beige book may need to be closely monitored given the recent speculation that the Fed may start raising interest rates from their historic lows by the end of the year.

DATA SNAP: US Mar Trade Gap Widens Modestly As Exports Fall (Dow Jones)
The U.S. trade deficit widened modestly in April as exports declined and oil imports continued their recent recovery. The U.S. deficit in international trade of goods and services increased to $29.16 billion from a revised $28.53 billion in March, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.
