Wall Street mixed, Europe closing on green; USD holds its positions
FXstreet.com − Wall Street has opened its Thursday session on a narrow range between gains and losses as market took 10.0% J.P. Morgan earning declines slightly unabashed. USD/CHF has risen 0.42% along the day to the currently 1.1475. USD/JPY is firm above 99.00 level. EUR/USD is trading just below 1.3200 level and the GBP/USD is trading around 1.4890/1.4900 after falling 0.70% along the day.
Cable fights 1.50 psychological level by FastBrokersFX
The Cable has come well−off its highs on relatively light volume in what we view as healthy profit taking. As expected, the Cable is having some trouble leaving behind the highly psychological 1.50 level.

EMU economic indicators - Trade balance: Probably improved by BHF−Bank
EMU industrial production is likely to have continued decreasing in February, as the corresponding national figures did. Following its seasonal pattern, the EMU trade balance will probably have improved in February, just like the corresponding German figure.

DATA SNAP: US Mar Housing Starts Fall More Than Expected (Dow Jones)
Home construction took a bigger−than−expected drop in March, and an indicator of future building resumed falling, according to a report that soured hopes of a turnaround in the housing sector. Housing starts fell 10.8% to a seasonally adjusted 510,000 annual rate compared to the prior month, the Commerce Department said Thursday.
