Forex Technical Report − Lower Demand from China Signals Wider, Deeper Global Recession by ForexHound.com
Technically, the EUR USD is in a downtrend and making lower−tops and lower−bottoms. The only thing that can change the pattern and the trend to up will be a breakout above one or both swing tops at 1.3116 and 1.3296. On the downside, the downtrend will resume on moves through 1.2525 and 1.2339. The pair of ranges that have been established have created pivot prices at 1.2813 and 1.2821.
Market Session Recaps − London Session by FOREX.com
One of the major movers was Cable. GBP/USD plunged more than −170 pips and was sitting near 1.5250 as the NY session kicked off. This was on the back of extremely dovish comments from Bank of England Governor King.
Daily Currency Market Focus − Global Unwind Continues − Will the UK Become the Next Japan? by GFT (Global Forex Trading)
When the Bank of England cut interest rates by 150bp last week, I turned aggressively bullish EUR/GBP on the belief that interest rates are headed below 2%. The currency pair has now hit a record high as the market realizes that not only will UK interest rates fall below 2%, but could be headed to Japanese levels.

EMU economic indicators - German, French, Italian and EMU GDP growth (Q3): down by BHF−Bank
German GDP probably has decreased slightly quarter−on−quarter in Q3 2008, just like output in the producing sector and retail sales did. The previous quarters' data might be revised. On 13 November, Destatis (the German Federal Statistical Office) is publishing a "flash release" on German GDP of Q3; a detailed breakdown of the components will follow on 25 November.
