1,1241. USD CAD is in an uptrend supported by 1H exponential moving averages. USD CAD is in a consolidation after the last bullish movement. The volatility is low. Bollinger bands are flat. ForexTrend 4H, daily (Mataf Trend Indicator) is in a bullish configuration. 4H ForexSto (Modified Stochastic) indicate a bullish pressure on USD CAD. The price should find a support above 1,1190 (51 pips). The uptrend should continue to gather momentum.
=> We could take a long position at 1,1220. We will put the stop loss below 1,1170 (−50 pips). The targets are 1,1300 (+80 pips, risk/reward 1:1.6), 1,1380 (+160 pips, risk/reward 1:3.2)

US economic indicators - Trade balance (August): narrower deficit due to oil price correction by BHF−Bank
The total trade deficit rose from –$58.8bn to –$62.2bn in July, but this was an oil−related surge, because the deficit ex petroleum fell to the lowest level since the beginning of 2001. Given the drop in import prices by 3.7% mom, we forecast that the trade deficit will have fallen sharply to about –$58.5bn in August.

Inventories by US wholesalers have increased twice as expected in August due to a sharper than expected decline in sales which left middlemen with higher than expected supply, according to data released by the Commerce Department.
