US Pending Home Sales Climb In April; Down 13% On Yr (Dow Jones)
A forecasting gauge of home sales climbed to its highest level in six months during April, given a lift by bargain hunters. The National Association of Realtors' index for pending sales of previously owned homes rose 6.3% to 88.2 from March, the industry group said Monday.

Canadian housing starts increase larger than expected in May (FXstreet.com)
Canadian housing sector does not seem to be affected by the credit squeeze that is affecting construction worldwide, according to the latest report on housing starts published by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, which shows a strong increase on housing starts in May.
