Technical Summary for Majors − Break above 1.9841 has completed the bullish formation by Windsor Brokers Ltd
Rallied from 1.9361, 20 Feb low, to reach 2.0390/99 peaks on 13/14 Mar before choppy decline reached 1.9600 on 16/16 Apr. This formed a descending wedge and break above 1.9841 has completed the bullish formation. Double base also evident on break of 1.9892, and break through 2.0000, 50% retracement of 2.0396/1.9600 decline, has so far reached 2.0024, ahead of sharp sell−off. Losses so far tested 1.9809, just ahead of 1.9806, 16 Apr high. To keeps short−term bulls in play, 1.9806/09 needs to hold, otherwise, loss of the latter will open 1.9690.

Friday Notes - Germany can't dance alone forever by HVB Group
The underlying situation is not healthy, and sellers are being compelled to cut prices substantially. However, industry sources suggest that sales of existing homes would have been even worse but are being lifted somewhat by transactions associated with foreclosed properties. (For example, in San Diego CA, hard hit by the subprime crisis, over a third of home sales this year involve foreclosures, up from just 5% a year ago).

Canada's international securities transactions bounce up in February (FXstreet.com)
Canadians have increased sharply the volume of investment in foreign securities in February, while non residents have acquired the largest amount of Canadian securities since April 2007, according to data released by Statcan.
