Daily FX Report − EUR is falling against USD by Varengold Wertpapierhandelsbank AG
The EUR and the CHF fell versus the USD after UBS says they wrote down additional 19 bln USD in assets stoking worries that credit market turmoil will spread to European financial sector.
The narrow trend channel of the EUR/USD seems to be stopped. The second time it broke through the lower resistance. This could open up a new horizontal trade direction with a support at 1,5328 and a resistance at 1,5854.

Sunrise Market Commentary: Currencies - EUR/GBP at new life−time highs by KBC Bank
Recently, the sterling sentiment was very downbeat and corrections, if any, were very limited and short−lived. Fundamentals (housing, economic growth, overextended consumer and the problems of the City) clearly support the weakening of sterling. So, we hold on to our long−term negative view for sterling.
