Forex Trading Strategies Another uptick in German IFO has EURUSD surging higher again by Saxo Bank
Yesterday's headline grabber was the 35−year low in Consumer Confidence expectations. If this, combined with the −10.7% year−on−year drop in home prices for Jan. isn't deeply recessionary data in an economy that is 70% based on private consumption, we'd like to know what is. The headline Consumer Confidence number was also far lower than expected − the worst number since the month of the beginning of the Iraq War 5 years ago, in fact.

EMU economic indicators - German retail sales probably have increased again in February by BHF−Bank
Both the March German ifo business climate and the April GfK German consumer confidence are expected to have deteriorated. We are expecting the French business and consumer confidence in March and the GfK German consumer confidence in April to have deteriorated, while Belgian and Italian business confidence might have remained more or less unchanged.

DATA SNAP: US Feb New Home Sales At Lowest In 13 Yrs (Dow Jones)
New−home sales slid in February to the lowest mark in 13 years, while prices also declined. Sales of single−family homes decreased by 1.8% last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 590,000, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.
