EUR/USD's rally from 1.4310 resumes in early US session and surges to as high as 1.4822 so far. As discussed before, prior break of 1.4750 resistance confirms that corrective fall from 1.4966 has completed at 1.4310. Further rise is expected to be seen to retest 1.4966 high and 1.5 psychological resistance.

OUTLOOK UK retail sales, manufacturing data to be overshadowed by BoE decision (Thomson Financial News)
The British Retail Consortium's December retail sales monitor will be one of the first surveys to give an encompassing snapshot of how the high street fared during December. Footfall surveys showed the number of people visiting shops during the whole month was down compared to a year ago and several retailers have issued downbeat trading statements, but there was evidence of a late rush of shoppers in the run up to Christmas and a strong start to the sales.

Dollar Hits Five−Week Low Vs Euro After US Payrolls Data (Dow Jones)
The dollar hit a five−week low against the euro and also fell sharply against the yen Friday after a key report showed U.S. jobs growth slowed last month and the unemployment rate rose.
