EMU economic indicators - German adjusted unemployment could have fallen by about 20k in September by BHF−Bank

We expect unadjusted German unemployment to have fallen markedly by about 125k in September, as the summer holidays are over in all Länder. Adjusted unemployment will probably have continued to decline by about 20k, but this would be only half the average of the first eight months.

New orders for durable goods in the US dropped 4.9 pct in August and were off 1.8 pct excluding transportation goods. The August report showed a broad retreat across industries from the surprisingly widespread and strong 6.1 pct order increase in July.
