Mid−Day Forex Technical Report − Dollar Recovers after Solid Data and Bernanke by ActionForex.com
After being pressured for most of the day, dollar recovers in US session after some solid data and Bernanke's speech. In his address to Jackson Hole meeting, Bernanke said that Fed will do what's necessary to limit damage to the economy that may be resulted from problems in the housing markets. The Fed will continue to "monitor the situation and will act as needed to limit the adverse effects on the broader economy that may arise from the disruptions in financial markets." And the Fed is ready to "take additional actions as needed to provide liquidity and promote the orderly functioning of markets."
