The Dollar gained modestly as reports indicate that NFP data due on Friday may be below market expectations. EUR/USD was at 1.3667 from 1.3710 yesterday and GBP/USD was at 2.0266 from 2.0336 yesterday. USD/JPY was at 118.51 from 119.34 yesterday

Economics Weekly - BoE and ECB to keep interest rates on hold by Lloyds TSB Financial Markets
The Bank of England MPC is forecast to keep interest rates on hold on Thursday at 5.75%. Resistance to higher rates from three MPC members at the July meeting and the publication of the August Inflation Report suggest the MPC is likely to take stock of recent data and inflation prospects in the months ahead before deciding whether more rate increases are justified.

DATA SNAP: July ISM Shows Slower Factory Growth (Dow Jones)
U.S. factories growth unexpectedly cooled last month, a report Wednesday said. The Institute for Supply Management, a private research group, said its July manufacturing index moved to 53.8, from 56.0 in June and 55.0 the month before that. It was the weakest gain in four months.
