After the disappointing, strong decline in the previous month, retail sales should have recovered again in June. For the quarter as a whole, this will, therefore, also produce a solid increase of roughly 1% q-o-q in retail sales ex autos and petrol. UK consumer lending improves in June (FXstreet.com)
Consumer lending has bounced back in the UK in June despite the Bank of England’s rate hike, according to the Bank’s latest monthly report. Consumer lending has risen to 10.4 billion pound in June from upwardly revised 9.6 billion in May, previously estimated as 9.5 billion.
