Canadian May retail sales post 2.8 pct monthly rise, well above expectations (Thomson Financial News)
Canadian retail sales grew by 2.8 pct in May from April, well above expectations for a 0.5 pct rise, figures from Statistics Canada showed. Excluding autos, retail sales rose 2.3 pct during the month, offsetting a 0.3 pct fall in April, the figures showed.
