The Leading Indicator index has Increased 0.4% in April, the same increase as the one posted in March, coincident with the 2006 average growth, according to data by Statscan, the Canadian Statistics Office. Household spending has slowed from the “torrid†growing pace of previous months while the manufacturing sector continues recovering from a prolonged slump.
