Mid-Day Forex Technical Report - Dollar Pares Some Gain on NFP Concern by ActionForex.com

Cable continues to edge lower after taking out mentioned short term rising channel support (now at 1.9933). With 4 hours MACD dragged below signal line and staying negative, short term outlook remains mildly bearish. Break of 1.9855 support will confirm rise from 1.9183 has already completed at 2.0132. In such case, deeper decline should be seen to 1.9723/26 support first.

Friday Notes - German economy enjoys an updraft by HVB Group

After a weak start of the year and a small uptick in March, we expect April services PMI to move sideways at 57.6. However, should our forecast prove correct, the services PMI would remain above its long-term average, signaling a still strong level of activity for the sector. The price-charged sub-index is also likely to rise, asfirms are willing to widen margins.

U.S. factory orders rise sharply (AFX News)

Orders to U.S. factories surged in March by the largest amount in a year, an encouraging sign that the recent slowdown in manufacturing may be ending. The Commerce Department said Wednesday that total factory orders rose by 3.1 percent in March, pushed higher by a big jump in demand for commercial aircraft and the biggest rise in the category that tracks business investment in new equipment in 2 1/2 years.

ADP-Macroeconomic Advisers See Apr Payrolls +64,000 (Dow Jones)

An employment indicator published Wednesday by payrolls giant Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) and consultancy Macroeconomic Advisers reported an increase of 64,000 in private jobs in April. That compares with the expected 110,000 increase in total jobs that economists called for in a Dow Jones Newswires survey earlier this week.
