EUR/USD

Market action post ISM - Market action post ISM by FXstreet.com

The USD is clearly a winner on this situation, breaking support lines on Cable as I write this post and sending Euro and CHF lower as well. If Cable breaks 2.0020-2.0010 support area it could fall to the 1.9980 support (something I am looking for). EUR/USD and USD/CHF are far from getting into extreme readings (now 2 1.2125 and 1.3610) so we could expect some more fireworks in the market. Holding onto the USD longs for today.

UK Manufacturing PMI eases in April (FXstreet.com)

UK Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index, has decreased in April to a 53.9 level in April, from downwardly revised 54.2 in March, previously estimated as 54.4, according to the latest monthly report. This slight decline overshadows the shared view of an strong pick up in the manufacturing sector later this year, while gives ground to another interest rate hike to 5.50% after the Bank of England’s monetary policy meeting next week.
