Cable rises sharply to as high as 2.0073 today, meeting mentioned 61.8% projection of 1.8517 to 1.9913 from 1.9183 at 2.0046 as well as 100% projection of 1.7047 to 1.9024 from 1.8090 at 2.0067. At this point, further rise is still expected to follow as long as cable stays above 1.9940. Next upside target will be 92 high of 2.0106.

Weekly Commentary - Core focus by Westpac Institutional Bank
We expect Q1 CPI to rise 0.7%, nudging annual inflation up to 2.7%. The balance of risk to our forecast is downwards, courtesy of the fact that our quarterly forecast is very close to rounding to 0.6%. Higher food, housing and petrol prices will drive the overall increase with lower airfares providing a significant offset.

US March industrial output down 0.2 pct, capacity utilization 81.4 pct (AFX News)
Output from US factories, mines and utilities unexpectedly fell in March as utility output reversed a surge in February and capacity utilization fell slightly, the Federal Reserve said today. Output in February fell 0.2 pct after rising a revised 0.8 pct in March, while factories were using 81.4 pct of their capacity, two ticks below February's 81.6 pct.
