Friday Notes - US employment heyday to fizzle in Spring by HVB Group
After a blip in February, March CPI inflation should slow down again to 2.7%. The largest downward contribution should come from the housing component, following the announced reduction in electricity and gas tariffs. On the other hand, oil price increases in past months should be felt in transport costs and heating fuel.

U.S. Net Long-Term TIC flows, $94.5 billion in February (FXstreet.com)
Net long term TIC flows increased to $94.5 billion in February from 79.6 billion in January according too data by the Treasury Department. Net foreign acquisition of U.S. securities was $43.2 billion in February, down 51.6% from $83.7 billion in January.

DATA SNAP: US Mar Retail Sales Exceed Expectations (Dow Jones)
U.S. retail sales climbed in March above expectations and demand for the prior month was revised much higher, signaling consumer spending and the economy aren't as weak as believed. Retail sales increased 0.7% last month, after rising 0.5% in February, the Commerce Department said Monday.
