Cable surges to as high as 1.9597 today so far. Break of mentioned falling trend line resistance (now at 1.9536) confirm that the corrective fall from 1.9913 has completed with three waves down to 1.9183 already. Hence further rally is now expected towards 1.9672 resistance.

Economic Data Roundup - United Kingdom: 20/3 Consumer Prices (Feb) by ODL Securities

As expected – apart from an unfortunate nine economists polled by Reuters - the MPC again left interest rates at 5.25% at the beginning of March. The minutes of the meeting are expected to show that Messrs Sentence and Besley remained in a minority of two in calling for a further quarter-point hike in interest rates.

DATA SNAP: US Housing Starts Above Expectations In Feb (Dow Jones)

Home construction unexpectedly surged in February, but permits for future building fell. Housing starts increased 9.0% to a seasonally adjusted 1.525 million annual rate, the Commerce Department said Tuesday. January starts plunged an unrevised 14.3% to 1.399 million.
