Mid-Day Forex Technical Report - Dollar Extends Decline on Weak Data by ActionForex.com

After mild sideway consolidation, EUR/USD's rise from 1.2939 resumes in early US session and is now pressing mentioned 61.8% retracement of 1.3364 to 1.2865 at 1.3173. At this point, intraday bias remains on the upside as long as EUR/USD stays above 1.3116 minor support.

US January industrial output down 0.5 pct, capacity utilization 81.2 pct by AFX News

Output from US factories, mines and utilities fell in January, erasing the gains made in December which in turn came after three consecutive months of declines, the Federal Reserve said today. Output in January fell 0.5 pct, while factories were using 81.2 pct of their capacity, down from December's 81.8 pct capacity.

U.S. Records First Net Capital Outflow Since June '05 by Dow Jones

U.S. monthly capital flows reversed in December to an outflow for the first time since June 2005, the Treasury Department reported Thursday. The U.S. recorded an outflow of $11 billion in December, compared with an inflow of $70.5 billion in November, the Treasury said.

U.S. Import prices, biggest fall in four months by FXstreet.com

Import prices index have decreased sharply in January thanks to lower oil prices, according to the latest report by the Commerce Department. Prices of imported products dropped 1.2% in January from December, when they recorded a 1.1% monthly increase.

US weekly jobless claims up 44,000 to 357,000, highest since November by AFX News

The number of people filing new claims for unemployment insurance jumped in the latest week to its highest level in nearly three months, the Labor Department said today. First time claims rose 44,000 to 357,000 in the week ended February 10, higher than the 310,000 economists had expected and the highest level since the week ended November 25.
