FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labor Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 37K last week to a seasonally adjusted 335K in the week ended January 12, below expectations at 365K and coming from 372K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 87K to a seasonally adjusted 3.214 million in the week ended January 6 vs. 3.127 million in the previous week (revised).
