FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel traveled to Canada and met with Prime Minister Stephen Harper to discuss the European economy and a possible trade pact.
Merkel said that time is pressing for an euro crisis solution and that she wants a sustainable, long-term solution to the debt crisis. German Chancellor also reiterated that she is committed to do all in hands to save the euro.
She said that the fiscal compact is a first steam in the right direction, and that Europe needs more solidarity and that she would have liked stronger intervention rights on budgets.
Merkel said ECB conditions are in line with Germany and that it is a positive development for the euro.
