FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The Australian dollar pushed higher and printed fresh highs against the greenback as risk appetite improved during the NY session, underpinned by the stocks gains in Wall Street.
AUD/USD rose above the 1.0070 level, previous daily highs, and hit its highest level since Jun 21 at 1.0083, where the 200-hour SMA offered resistance to the cross. At time of writing, the aussie is quoting at the 1.0070 zone, recording a 0.6% gain on the day.
From a technical view, "While below 1.0070, the pair is expected to remain weak and the chances of seeing 0.9930-00 will still be alive", says the Kshitij Consultancy Services Team.
