FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits rose by 10K last week to a seasonally adjusted 372K in the week ended December 29, above expectations at 355K and coming from 362K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 44K to a seasonally adjusted 3.245 million in the week ended December 23 vs. 3.201 million in the previous week (revised).
