FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The theme of 2012 in foreign exchange markets has been diversification., but hat may be about to change, says Andrew Salter, ANZ FX Strategist, arguing that "diversification flows in to the AUD may pause momentarily, seeing a base develop in EUR/AUD." Andrew adds: "Growing chances of a solution in Europe implies less reserve accumulation from key central banks, including the SNB, which will be therefore engaged in fewer sales of francs and fewer purchases of euros." For currencies like the Australian dollar, according to Mr. Salter, "implies the absence of a major bidder in the currency." The ANZ analyst notes "this may offer the currency a window to re-align with the ‘traditional’ fundamentals."
