FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The euro has jumped higher against its major trading counterparts, including the Japanese yen this Friday in the Asia-Pacific after European Union officials said they seek to establish a single financial supervisor for the zone.

EUR/JPY has climbed to a 4-day high of 100.21 and last trades at 99.90 vs. 98.84 since the opening. EUR/USD jumped to as high as 1.2625 on headline from 1.2442 in late North American trade Thursday. EUR/GBP has shot up a 6-day high of 0.8085, last quoted at 0.8070 vs. 0.8016.
