FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 5K last week to a seasonally adjusted 330K in the week ended January 20, below expectations at 355K and coming from 335K in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 71K to a seasonally adjusted 3.157 million in the week ended January 13 vs. 3.228 million in the previous week (revised).
