The one topic of note was the beginning of the Fiscal cliff negotiations, which may shine light on the direction of the impending impasse that must be scaled by years end. Beginning with the indices and composites, the NASDAQ lost -0.25% as it settles in region of 2834.39, down 7.00 points in these moments.

In addition, the S&P 500 is trading in negative territory, operating at 1353.34, descending 2.09 points or -0.15% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved higher at the opening, trading in the zone of 12546.99, presently +0.04% after a descent of 4.61 points.
