FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - Stocks on Wall Street ended lower Friday as investors fled risk after a report showed manufacturing declining in the United States. Concerns about slowing global growth also weighed on sentiment, despite positive results of stress tests on Spanish banks. Dow industrials dropped 48.84 points, or 0.4%, to 13,437.13 Friday, closing up 4.3% in Q3 and up 2.7% for September. The S&P 500 fell 6.48 points, or 0.5%, to 1,440.67, finishing up 5.8% for the third quarter and 2.4% for the month. The Nasdaq Composite shed 20.37 points, or 0.7%, to 3,116.23, ending up 6.2% for the quarter and 1.6% for September.
