FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - Francesc Homs, Catalan government spokesman, has commented that his government will ask for "liquidity funds" joining Murcia and Valencia as the third Spanish region asking this figure.

According to Homs, Catalonia is "studying conditions for aid before making decision" as far as they don't have any "decision yet on asking for central government support." Despite that, Homs also said that the regional government has been using financial tools for months and he remains that finance 'conseller' has been asking "hispanobonos" since the last year.

The second half of 2012, the Catalan government has to face maturities by €5.7 billion.
