FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - U.S. stocks finished lower Friday after disappointing non-farm payrolls data showed only 80,000 jobs were created in June, which exacerbated global growth worries and stimulated a flight to safety across the board.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 Index both recorded losses for the week, while the Nasdaq Composite closed in blue for the fifth successive week. The Dow fell 124 points, or 1%, to 12,772, closing down 0.8% for the week. The S&P 500 lost 13 points, or 0.9% to 1,355, having recorded a 0.6% loss this week. The Nasdaq Composite slid 39 points, or 1.3% to 2,937.33, finishing the week with a modest gain of 0.1%.
