FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - New applications for unemployment benefits rose last week by 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 418,000, the US Labor Department said on Thursday. This result is worse-than-expected as economists had anticipated 405,000 new claims. In the prior week, claims were upwardly revised to 408,000 from an original reading of 405,000.
Continuing claims however decreased by 50,000 to 3.698 million compared to the also revised 3.748M.
