FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The US Stock market jumped at it’s opening as worries abate in both Spain and Greece, amidst new deals in their respective countries Thursday. The Dow Jones is leading the advance, opening steadfastly in positive territory at 13468.36, up +0.41% in these moments.
In addition, the S&P 500 is also entrenched in positive territory, operating at 1439.00, rising 5.62 points or +0.39% at the time of writing. Finally, the NASDAQ has crept marginally higher at the opening as well, settling in the region of 3102.21, presently up +0.27% after a climb of 8.18 points.
It is a sea of green across the board today as virtually all sectors are notching positive gains. In particular, the Energy sector has distinguished itself as the winner thus far, jumping +0.72%. In other news, the price of crude has settled below USD $91.22 today, climbing +1.38%.
