FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - In Australia, quarterly production from the state’s three largest iron ore
miners announced fresh production records in
the last few days. More specifically, Australia's big three produced 103mt for
the quarter and
400mt for the year to June. This has coincided with the strong performance of the aussie against notable rivals such as the USD.

Continuing with these solid results, over the same period Australia has exported a record 126mt or 473mt for the year to June.

According to the research analyst Robert Rennie at Westpac, “Clearly the aggressive expansion plans being driven by all three producers will see production continue to rise in the coming quarters.” Record levels of production are deeply connected to the growth of China.
