FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - AUD/JPY pushed above resistance in the 82.35 area to reach a fresh 2-month high of 82.46 Tuesday, but the pair encountered offers at the mentioned high and now trades back in the 82.10 price zone.
“AJ is bracing for a move to 82.74 as it hits the net line at 82.35/40,” says the Capital3x team. “Vital moments for those holding shorts. Above 82.74 AUDJPY is looking tipping over into space with nothing to hold it back as it could race away to 87 levels.”
At the time of writing, the pairing consolidates above the 82.00 mark and around the 200-week EMA ahead of the closing bell in New York. Resistance lies at 83.20 (61.8%, 88.64/74.48), while support lies at 81.43 (20 June high).
