FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - Shares on Wall Street ended mixed in a low volatility session on Tuesday as investors sit on the sidelines while developments in Spain remain the focus. “While Spain’s economy minister did hint the government is studying the possibility of requesting aid, the latest media reports suggest such request is unlikely this week,” reports Vassili Serebriakov, Currency Strategist at Wells Fargo Bank. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.24% on the day, falling 32.75 points to close at 13,482.36. “For you candlestick traders, Tuesday was an inside day for Dow futures,” observes John Kicklighter, Chief Strategist for DailyFX.com. The S&P 500 added a modest 1.26 point, or 0.1%, to 1,445.75. The Nasdaq Composite gained 6.51 points, or 0.2%, to 3,120.04.
