FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The US Stock market moved marginally lower Wednesday morning a day after the Alcoa (AA) reported earnings and warned of slower aluminum consumption. Beginning with the indices and composites, the NASDAQ has incurred a -0.05% loss as it settles in region of 3063.87, down 1.15 points in these moments.
In addition, the S&P 500 is also trading in negative territory, operating at 1441.16, falling 0.33 points or -0.02% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved lower at the opening as well, operating in the zone of 13457.02, presently down -0.12% after a fall of 16.51 points.
Most sectors have opened firmly in the red, however, the Technology and Conglomerates sectors have distinguished themselves as losers thus far, falling -1.44% and -1.36% respectively. In other news, the price of crude has settled below USD $92.08 today, falling -0.34%.
