FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The US Stock market moved higher Friday morning as investors were greeted to promising data on the US economy. In particular, the Nonfarm Payrolls (September) rose to 114K, while Unemployment fell to 7.8% in September. Beginning with the indices and composites, the NASDAQ has notched a tepid advance of +0.47% as it settles in region of 3164.83, up 15.09 points in these moments.
In addition, the S&P 500 is also residing in positive territory, operating at 1469.20, rising 7.72 points or +0.51% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved higher at the opening as well, operating in the zone of 13639.10, presently up +0.47% after a rise of 63.74 points.
All sectors have opened firmly in the green, however, the Capital Goods and Transportation sectors have distinguished themselves as winners thus far, rising +0.85% and +0.79% respectively. In other news, the price of crude has settled below USD $91.18 today, falling -0.53%.
