FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The majors US stock indexes have closed Tuesday with mixed numbers. Stocks managed to recover previous loses on the back of Ben Bernanke saying that the Fed doesn't have tools to avoid the fiscal cliff. Nevertheless, market bounced from bottom and overall 0.70% daily loses to close positive in the S&P and Nasdaq case and slightly negative in the DJIA field.
The Dow Jones eased 6.22 pts or 0.05% to close the day at 12,789.74, the S&P 500 finished at 1,387.82 after rising 0.93 pts or 0.07% so far today. The Nasdaq has ended Tuesday with 0.02% gains or 0.61 pts to 2,916.68
