In Hong Kong, Fed’s Bullard said that while the economy recovers and inflation doesn’t pose any real threats, there will be no need for more monetary easing in the US.
Japan’s Nikkei Stock Average dropped by -1.14%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng shed -1.27% and China’s Shanghai Composite fell -1.05%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 and South Korea’s Kospi ended near flat, at 0.08% and -0.04%, respectively.
Futures for the German DAX 30, the French CAC 40 and Eurostoxx 50 are signaling a mildly higher open, between 0.05% and 0.10%.
Crude oil is posting gains by 0.33%, at $105.67, and gold is bouncing from yesterday’s losses by 0.16%, at $1647.
